DGAP’s Research Institute regularly brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. On October 9, we will look at the government crisis in France following Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s resignation on Monday. France is now facing yet another period of instability after the failure of the previous government led by François Bayrou about a month ago. Meanwhile, pressure is mounting to pass a budget in the coming weeks. All of this will have implications for European politics – and for Franco-German relations in particular.
