Dr Thomas Enders has been President of the German Council on Foreign Relations since June 2019.
Prior to his retirement in April 2019, he spent nearly 30 years in the European aerospace industry, serving as CEO of Airbus and EADS from 2005 to 2019. After studying economics, history, and political science in Bonn and Los Angeles, Tom Enders also worked as a research associate at DGAP’s research institute under then-director Professor Karl Kaiser from 1988 to 1991.
