Short Bio

Elias Ricken is a research assistant in DGAP’s Europe Center. He works on French foreign, security, and defense policy and Franco-German relations.

Before joining DGAP, Ricken completed a one-year dual training program at the French Ministry of the Environment as part of his studies and most recently worked for the German federal government’s Advisory Council on Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peace Promotion.

In addition to his work at DGAP, he is pursuing a master’s degree in international security at the Hertie School in Berlin.
