Short Bio

Nicolas Téterchen is an assistant in the France/French-German relations program of the Alfred von Oppenheim Center for the Future of Europe at DGAP. Parallel to his position at DGAP, he works at the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a defense project manager. He is also working on his doctoral thesis at the University CY Cergy Paris on German strategic culture since reunification.

Téterchen completed his studies in Paris at ISIT, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, first in international relations and translation (FR-DE-EN), then in international strategy and diplomacy. There, he took part in research projects on European defence and interculturality in the French army. As part of his studies, he spent a semester at Heidelberg’s Institute of Translation and Interpretation.
