Short Bio
Maria Pericàs Riera is a fellow at the Internet Society. Until August 31, 2025, she was a project assistant in DGAP’s Center for Geopolitics, Geoeconomics, and Technology. There, her primary research interest was in cyber diplomacy, with a particular emphasis on critical infrastructure protection and cyber norms. Focusing on the European Union and Latin America, she investigated and analyzed cybersecurity policies in these regions. Before joining DGAP, she gained practical experience at the Munich Security Conference and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
Maria Pericàs Riera holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and the University of Zurich.
